Assam's young tennis prodigy, Nayeem Hussain, clinched the gold medal in the girls' doubles category at the Under-14 Asian Tennis Tournament 2024, which took place in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This prestigious event was held from May 13 to May 17 at the Sheikh Jamal National Sports Complex. The tournament culminated in a grand medal ceremony where Minister Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury presented the awards to the winners.
Hussain, a ninth-grade student at Maria's Public School in Guwahati, demonstrated exceptional skill and determination throughout the competition. Her victory in Dhaka adds to her growing list of accomplishments, following her impressive performance in the All India Championship Series held in April. Her continuous success marks her as a rising star in the realm of junior tennis.
