Great News for Prospective UG Students at Assam University and Affiliated Colleges!

In a significant development for prospective undergraduate students, Assam University and its affiliated colleges have announced that the CUET-UG (Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates) will no longer be mandatory for the majority of admissions.

Starting this year, 80% of the seats in undergraduate courses will be filled without requiring CUET-UG scorecards. Only 20% of the seats will be reserved for students who possess valid CUET-UG scores. This policy change aims to make the admission process more accessible and less stressful for aspiring students.

However, it is important to note that this change applies exclusively to undergraduate courses. Admission to postgraduate courses at Assam University, such as M.A., M.Sc., and M.Com., will continue to be conducted through the CUET-PG (Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduates).

This announcement is expected to benefit a large number of students seeking higher education opportunities in Assam.
