Cachar Police seize 572 grams of heroin and arrest two individuals in a major anti-drug operation in Nagadi village.

In a major breakthrough in their ongoing anti-drug efforts, Cachar Police made a significant seizure of heroin and arrested two youths in Nagadi village under Sonai police station.


The operation, led by the dedicated efforts of Cachar Police, resulted in the arrest of Anwar Hussain and Hussain Ahmed Lashkar, along with the confiscation of a substantial amount of heroin. The seized drugs, totaling 572 grams, were hidden in 44 soap boxes and were allegedly in possession of the youths.


Additionally, authorities confiscated an AK 0276 Maruti Altro car suspected to be linked to the illicit drug trade.


Additional Superintendent of Police Subrata Sen highlighted the severity of the seizure, estimating its market value to be over 3 crore rupees. He also noted the ongoing investigation and stated that the detained youths are being questioned as part of the police's continuous efforts to fight drug trafficking in the area.
